2019 WAAS Highlights: Father's Day Pop up store
Adding to the 2019 WAAS Highlights series. Our father's day pop-up store is definitely one of them.
I was originally invited to do another pop-up at a space that was too small and didn't have enough foot traffic so that was the spark that gave me the idea to create my own pop-up store. Right away new the HUGE undertaking that this would be. So I immediately recruited Luz from Made in Mayhem (now CASUPO) to organize with me and make this a joint event.
We realized that we know so many talented local makers that we thought why not invite others that make different things from us in order to curate the best Father's Day Gifts pop-up with a wide range of gifts from t-shirts to bowties, to artwork and jewelry.
Honestly the pop-up was a huge success in every single way, but boy did we work hard on every single aspect of it. The pop-up would have not been possible without the amazing space that my BFF Brandon Morrison allowed me to use his Furniture Showroom on La Brea for his line whyrHymer.
Shout-out to all the customers that came during the pop-up and to the opening party and our Father's Day event and a triple special shout out to the brands that joined us: The Poster List, 33 Stew, LA Photo Co, Bolla Kills, Pocket Square Clothing, Dushyant Asthana and of course Made in Mayhem / CASUPO and yours truly, WAAS.
