Virgin Mary Silver Necklace for Men.We Are All Smith
Wearing a Religious Medal is an ancient tradition.
Gaius Plinius Secundus (AD 23 – August 25, AD 79), better known as Pliny the Elder (/ˈplɪni/), was a Roman author, naturalist, and philosopher, as well as naval and army commander of the early Roman Empire. He used the word amuletum for medals worn around the neck by all classes of people as talismans (i.e. objects believed to give supernatural powers or protection to the wearer). Since then Archeology has discovered medals all the way back to the second century.
Wearing a medal should be considered a sacred symbol of the supernatural protection offered directly by your God, Blessed Mother, or saint. The consciousness of that image should motivate us to fulfill our religious or personal duties and put our faith to God, The Universe our ourselves into action. Just as a wedding ring is a physical reminder to a spouse, so do medals provide a constant physical reminder of our faith and commitment to our personal beliefs.
